receives FA honour

Epsom and Ewell Colts Football Club has been awarded a prestigious
honour by governing body the FA.
The Surrey club received the FA Standard Charter accreditation from Oliver Selfe, senior football development officer at the Surrey County FA, at its recent Annual General Meeting.
Graham Jelley, charter standard co-ordinator at Epsom and Ewell, said: "Achieving the FA Charter Standard Accreditation has been a fantastic achievement for the club.
"It has been a lot of hard work and has involved a considerable amount of dedication from the whole club but now we have the award we can rest safe in the knowledge that the club have everything in place to offer its members the best possible football experience."
And chairman Mike Lovett said the award meant a new set of opportunities for players and coaches.
"I am delighted for the club to be recognised by the FA as a club that is run professionally" he said.
"We very much look forward to working with the Surrey County FA to further develop our football provision and are already looking towards developing new football teams for season 2010/2011."
The FA Charter Standard Award recognises clubs that are run well and to achieve the award Epsom and Ewell have had to meet a number of strict FA guidelines which include:
