Overview
Epsom & Ewell Colts FC is an inclusive and diverse charter standard club committed to providing a safe and fun environment that allows players, coaches and managers to develop their skills and ensure a positive experience of football.
We have over 1100 registered players, making up more than 80 Boys, Girls & Senior teams.
Our club is volunteer led and we are very grateful to the many parents, carers and club members who give their time to enabling our club to provide football to our local community.
FA Chartered Standard Accredited
We are very proud to hold the FA Charter Standard accreditation. The Programme is The FA’s accreditation scheme open to all grassroots clubs and league. It aims to raise standards in the grassroots game through supporting the development of clubs and leagues. It also recognises and rewards commitment, quality and achievement. The clubs and leagues who achieve The FA Charter Standard demonstrate they offer well-run and sustainable football. They are proud to prioritise qualified coaching and safeguarding, as well as the values of The FA’s Respect programme as part of their game.
Development Strategy
Our Epsom & Ewell Colts FC Development Strategy enables boys and girls ages 4 – 6 to start playing football through fun sessions held locally.
Drop in football sessions are run by Gavin Bolger of ‘First Step Football’ and his coaching team on Saturday mornings at Poole Road.
Our Saturday morning girls-only development centre commenced in September 2021, launched as a result of our association with Chelsea FC Foundation. The centre aims to provide young girls aged 4 and upwards an opportunity to play football in a fun and friendly, girls only environment.
At the age of 7, players have an opportunity to register and join an Epsom & Ewell Colts FC Under 8 team. The boy’s teams begin playing their football in the Epsom & Ewell Youth League on Saturdays, with the girl’s teams in the Surrey County Women & Girl’s League on Sundays. All teams remain in these development leagues until they move into competitive leagues at Under 12.
